The material is made from thick, organic extra-long staple cotton 35-count single yarn, and was jointly developed as an original nonnotte material by Kaneta Orimono, a weaver in Shizuoka Prefecture who is capable of weaving the highest density fabrics in the world.

Its special feature is that it is woven with thick threads at the highest possible density.

The finishing process applied to the material this time is a clear heavy broadcloth with a clear finish, in the hope that the shirt will have a more dressy look and be tough enough to be worn.

The aim is to create a dressy look with a tough, casual feel.

First of all, toughness. Usually, shirts are made with 100 or 200 count threads, and the thinner the better, according to aesthetics, but in my opinion, these threads only bring memories of getting wrinkled after one wear, and are difficult to care for, so I've had the experience of not wanting to buy them.

However, if you simply weave broadcloth with a thick thread count, it will simply end up being a durable casual material like oxford.

We felt that it was necessary to create a fabric with a high density and beautiful surface that could rival that of a dress shirt. However, there were no weavers capable of weaving thick, high density yarns, so Kaneta Orimono stepped up to develop it, and after many years, we finally completed it.

As it is 100% cotton, it will of course wrinkle, but we hope that you will see the uneven creases, which are a testament to the strength of the thick thread, as part of the unique character of the material.

I believe that this is a charm that cannot be replicated with finer yarns, so I myself wear it without ironing.
